Stella Nguyen is an artist with many passions. She has a desire to portray emotions and states of being that we all feel deeply but find hard to describe or name.
Stella’s interests in representing emotions and states of being come from being a sensitive soul, who in the past has repressed her feelings, her thoughts and fears. She is a hopeless romantic, who has loved deeply and has been hurt deeply. She hopes her work encourages discussion where you can reflect upon and share your own experiences.
Stella uses digital and analogue photography, collage and poetry. To refine her ideas, Stella draws from her personal experiences, her work in education, her qualification in art therapy and her current studies at Photography Studies College.
Beyond her emotive work, Stella likes to use photography as a way to slow down and embrace the world as it is around her.
